Compassion in Action
Rescuing animals and building community across Canyon Lake, TX
Built on Love for Every Homeless Animal
Canyon Lake Animal Shelter Society was founded with one simple but powerful belief: no animal should face euthanasia simply because there was nowhere for them to go. What began as a grassroots rescue effort in the Texas Hill Country has grown into a full-service non-kill shelter serving Canyon Lake and the surrounding communities.
Every year, we rescue hundreds of abandoned and homeless animals — dogs, cats, and more — providing them with veterinary care, socialization, and the time they need to heal before finding their forever families. Our dedicated team of staff and volunteers works every single day to make that happen.
We are proud to be a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization (EIN: 74-2889260), relying entirely on the generosity of our community to continue this life-saving work.
Our Core Values
No-Kill Commitment
Every animal that enters our shelter is given all the time and care needed to find their perfect home. We never euthanize for space.
Full Veterinary Care
All animals receive comprehensive medical exams, vaccinations, spay/neuter procedures, and ongoing health monitoring.
Community-Rooted
We are powered by passionate local volunteers and donors from Canyon Lake and the surrounding Hill Country communities.
Second Chances
We believe every animal deserves rehabilitation, behavioral support, and the opportunity for a fresh start in a loving home.
